Terms of Use

Welcome to Pico. By downloading or using the Pico app (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
1. License
Pico grants you a personal, non-transferable, revocable, non-exclusive license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, subject to the Apple Standard EULA, which is incorporated by reference. These Terms add to that EULA; where they conflict, these Terms control to the extent permitted by Apple.
2. Subscriptions
Pico requires an auto-renewing subscription.
- Price: the Pico subscription is available as a yearly plan at $9.99/year (with a 3-day free trial) or a weekly plan at $1.99/week. Local currency equivalents are set by Apple; current prices are always shown in the app and on the App Store.
- Free trial: A 3-day free trial is offered to new subscribers on the yearly plan. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple ID is charged at the price above.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew for successive periods of the same length as your plan at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges your Apple ID within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel: at any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: all subscription payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled through Apple's refund process.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use the App to violate any law or any third party's rights.
- Interfere with the App's security features or attempt to access subscriber features without an active subscription.
4. Your data
Pico does not run a server. Your training data is stored on your device and (with your permission) in your iCloud account. See the Privacy Policy for details.
5. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Pico does not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that pitch detection will be accurate in all environments.
Pico is intended for ear training and entertainment. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose hearing or vocal conditions.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pico's total liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you have paid Pico in the twelve months preceding the claim. Pico is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
7. Changes to the App and to these Terms
Pico may update or discontinue features at any time. Pico may also update these Terms; if changes are material, you will be notified in-app or by email if you have provided one. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
8. Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Pico may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (license restrictions, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive termination.
